Do you have to teach vocabulary about food? Do you want your students to consolidate that vocabulary? Which better way to practice it than through a role play?
1- Students, in groups of 5 people, order a dialogue between a customer and a waiter in order to get to know the language that is used in a restaurant before doing the role play.
2-Time to do the role play!
–Waiter/waitress. This student will hold the menu and will act as a waiter/waitress.
–Insatiable customers. Four students will act as a group of friends who go to the restaurant but, BE CAREFUL! They are fusspot eaters!! Each of them will receive a card with their likes and dislikes. Therefore, it won’t be easy for them to agree with each other with regard to what they are going to ask. And not only that! The waiter or waitress will also have a very difficult task if he/she wants to satisfy these customers!
