Happy new 2021!
I was wondering what to do these two days of school after holidays. I saw some of your great ideas and I this one came to my mind and here it’s the result. This is a speaking and turn-taking activity where clapping is required.
Instructions:
- Use the PPT attached
- Your students will see a situation, if they have lived that in 2020 or if they know the answer, they need to clap
- After clapping, they need to speak for a while. This is a challenge because the other students need to approve their interventions by thumbing them up. They need to speak until most of the class (or you as a teacher raise their thumbs up). So, they get the positive point.
- To give some extra positive points and guarantee attention, after students interventions, ask random questions about what the student has just said.
- If the student wants to answer the question, they need to clap and answer your question (example: what was the name of the book that Lucía read in 2020?)
We hope you find it useful,
Have a safe comeback
Lots of love!
