PRESENT SIMPLE COOPERATIVE GAME

Today we wanted to show an activity we’re going to do with our groups of 2º ESO in order to review the Present Simple before the test. More specifically, we wanted to review the third person singular (cz you know, they always forget to add it).

How does it work? Very easy!

-We give each student a different and incomplete timetable. There are 16 different timetables in total!

-In turns, students have to ask to the rest of their classmates for the missing information in their timetables. The idea is that all of them will have to ask and answer at least one or two times. But all of them have to participate!

-In that way, they will practice making Present Simple questions and affirmative sentences in the third person singular! Apart from that, the vocabulary of Unit 1 that we have in our students’ book is related to types of films and TV programmes. That’s why you’ll appreciate that there are a lot hours devoted to watching TV.

-As you can see, this is a cooperative game because every student has to participate in order to achieve a final and common goal: to complete the timetable!

As we are in this COVID situation, the game will be played as a group. Everyone will remain in their seats, so questions and answers will be done out loud so that every student can hear them.

Have a nice week!
